IKEA IVAR spare parts

Every small part of an IVAR shelf has a number printed in IKEA's assembly instructions. Here they all are, what each one does, how to order them from IKEA, and when a pack of our pins is the better answer.

Part numbers

What holds an IVAR shelf together

These are the parts in IKEA's current instructions for the IVAR side unit. The number is what IKEA's spare parts service asks for.

The screws that go into your wall are not in the box. IKEA leaves them out because the right ones depend on the wall.

101324 or 113004?

Search for IVAR shelf pins and a second number turns up next to 101324: 113004. Several spare-parts sellers list both for the same Ø6 × 40 mm pin. IKEA's current IVAR instructions print 101324. Our pins are sold as a replacement for either.

Ordering from IKEA

IKEA sends small parts for free

IKEA runs a spare parts service for exactly this. In Germany and Switzerland, IKEA says small parts such as screws and dowels are free, delivery included, and arrive in three to five working days.

  1. Find the number in your assembly instructions. It has six to eight digits and sits next to the drawing of the part. Lost the paper? The PDF is on the product page on ikea.com.
  2. Open IKEA's spare parts page for your country, enter the number and choose the part.
  3. Pick the quantity and complete the order.

The service covers products IKEA still sells, and IVAR is one of them.

Our pins

When a pack of pins is the better answer

For one or two missing pins, IKEA is the right place, and we would say the same by email. Our pins are for when you need more than that: a second-hand IVAR that came with half of them, a shelf you rearrange often, or a few spares in a drawer. They are steel, Ø6 × 40 mm, in packs of 8 to 40, and they are the same pins that go into every SwedishMods kit.

Are IKEA spare parts free?

In Germany and Switzerland, IKEA says small parts such as screws and dowels are free, delivery included. Other countries set their own terms, so check the spare parts page of your local ikea.com.

In the assembly instructions, printed next to the drawing of the part. It has six to eight digits. If the paper copy is gone, the instructions can be downloaded as a PDF from the product page on ikea.com.

Are the screws for the wall included?

No. IKEA includes the wall strap and the screw that holds it on the shelf, but not the screws that go into your wall, because those depend on what the wall is made of.
